A Tip for Presenting with Slides

I'm continually struck by the challenge of presenting well with slides.

As soon as the slides get complex (ugh!) the more tempting it is for the voiceover to become convoluted, playing second fiddle.

In most instances, voice should play the lead.

The slides are there to support the speaker, not the other way round.

But I realise we don't always have the luxury to alter the slides.

Here's a tip for you...

ONE SENTENCE PER SLIDE.

Put another way, if you only had one sentence per slide... what would you say?

Sounds simple but it isn't easy.

I've worked with seasoned CEOs who've all but perspired over their deck with the effort!

Believe me, it's worth it though.

You'll be clearer.

You'll be liberated from the Swamp of Complexity.

And your audience will thank you for it.
