What Is 'Better Speaking'?

I often meet people who associate “better speaking” purely with improved Delivery skills.

Tone, eye contact, use of voice, use of space, more expansive gestures and the rest of it.

But “great delivery” is only the tip of the iceberg.

Merely the point at which the rubber grips the road.

Important? Yes.

The whole ball-game? Emphatically not.

What I’ve found is that the REAL development needs more often lie in Structure and Content.

That’s the true bedrock.

Not just “sounding polished”.

It’s very difficult to communicate with real impact from a position of confusion or complexity.

But when the message is clear and the content appropriate and aligned (typically involving stripping out the clutter of overuse of rational detail) strong delivery flows from that.

So, the clearer you are…

The more audience-friendly your content…

The “better” you’ll speak.

It’s that simple.
